Change your name, email, password and photo

Before you start

• Plan needed: Settings needs the 7-day free trial or a subscription. On phones, settings open as a drawer with the same options.

Steps

1. Open Settings. Choose your name or picture at the bottom of the sidebar, then Settings. Settings has Account, Subscription, Connectors and Team.
2. Change your photo. Hover over your picture and choose the camera, or pick one of the avatars. Images must be under 2MB. You’ll see “Profile picture updated”.
3. Change your username. Next to Username, choose Change username, type it and save.
4. Change your email. Next to Email, choose Change email, enter the new address and save. You’ll see “Email update requested”. Click the link in the email sent to your new address.
5. Change your password. Under Security, choose Change password, enter and confirm the new password (at least 6 characters) and save. You’ll see “Password updated”.
6. Change your language. Under System, choose Change next to Language. See change your language.
7. Set a Galileo style (optional). Under Custom Galileo bot style, type how you’d like things explained and choose Save.
8. Sign out. Choose Sign Out next to “You are signed in as…”.

Tips

• Use the same email you use for your school or university so invites and shares reach you.
• Update your card under Subscription, Manage Subscription.

If something goes wrong

• “New passwords do not match.” Type the same new password in both boxes.
• “Password must be at least 6 characters long.” Choose a longer password.
• “Image must be under 2MB.” Use a smaller image.
• The confirmation email for my new address hasn’t arrived. See confirmation email not arriving.
