Students: join a live quiz with a game code

Last updated · 1 min read

Short answer

Go to duetoday.ai/join on a phone, tablet or laptop, type the game code your teacher shows, enter your age and your name, and wait for the teacher to start. Pick an answer for each question before time runs out. After each round you see the leaderboard, and at the end you can review your answers and ask Galileo to explain any you missed.

Before you start

  • The game code your teacher shows on screen.
  • A device with a browser. No app or account needed.

Steps

  1. Go to duetoday.ai/join. You’ll see Join Quiz and “Enter the game code from your teacher”.
  2. Type the game code and continue.
  3. Enter your age (“How old are you?”) and choose Continue.
  4. Enter your name (“What’s your name?”). Use the name your teacher will recognise.
  5. Wait. You’ll see “Waiting for host to start…”.
  6. Answer each question. Tap your answer, or choose Don’t know? to skip. You’ll see Correct! when you get it right.
  7. Check the leaderboard after each round (Round Results and Leaderboard). “YOU” marks your place.
  8. Review at the end. Under Your answers, compare Your answer with the Correct answer. Choose Explain to have Galileo explain a question, or Play Again.

Tips

  • Join before the teacher starts so you don’t miss the first question.
  • Read every option before you tap. Speed isn’t everything.

If something goes wrong

  • The code doesn’t work. Check each character with your teacher. Codes only work while the game is open.
  • “Sorry, you must be at least 13 years old to use Duetoday”. Ask your teacher for another way to take part. If you typed the wrong age, choose Oops, I made a mistake.
  • “Sorry, could not load explanation.” Try Explain again in a moment.
  • The page froze. Refresh and join again with the same code and name.
