Getting started

Accessibility and keyboard shortcuts in Duetoday

Last updated · 1 min read

Short answer

Duetoday supports keyboard use in its study tools: press Space to flip a flashcard and the left and right arrow keys to move, Enter to send a chat message and Shift+Enter for a new line. Flashcards have a dark mode, and you can listen instead of read with podcasts and the voice tutor, or speak instead of type with dictation.

Before you start

  • Plan needed: none to use these settings. The study tools themselves follow your plan.

Steps: set up Duetoday the way you need

  1. Zoom the page with your browser to make text larger.
  2. Use dark mode in flashcards. Open a deck and choose the moon button.
  3. Listen instead of reading. Choose Podcast in the Galileo panel. See podcasts and songs.
  4. Talk instead of typing. Use the microphone in the dashboard prompt box, Voice note in a session note, or the voice tutor.
  5. Study in your language. Set the App Language and AI Output Language. See change your language.
  6. Ask for simpler explanations. Try “Explain this simply” or set a Custom Galileo bot style in Settings.

If something goes wrong

  • Something can’t be reached with the keyboard or isn’t read out by your screen reader. Contact support with the page and what you tried. We treat accessibility problems as bugs.

Frequently asked questions

Does Duetoday work with screen readers?

Most buttons have text labels or accessible names, and we keep improving this. If something isn't announced properly, tell us which screen and we'll fix it.

Can I make the text bigger?

Yes. Use your browser's zoom (Ctrl and + on Windows, Cmd and + on Mac). Duetoday's layout adapts as you zoom.

Is there a dark mode for the whole app?

Not yet. Flashcard decks have their own dark mode, and the Chrome extension and mobile app follow your device's settings in places.
