Turn your notes into a podcast or a study song

Last updated · 1 min read

Short answer

In the Galileo panel of a session with a source, choose Podcast to get a short spoken episode about your material (about 60–90 seconds to make), or Create Song, pick a style and choose Generate Song (1–3 minutes). Both open in a player with back and forward 10 seconds, Download, and the Transcript or Lyrics.

Before you start

  • A Galileo session with a source.
  • Plan needed: the 7-day free trial or a subscription. Podcasts and songs aren’t part of the free preview.

Steps: make a podcast

  1. Open the session for your upload.
  2. Choose Podcast (marked Beta) in the Galileo panel. You’ll see “Generating your podcast… Script + audio, ~60–90 s. You can leave this page.”
  3. Listen. When “Podcast ready!” appears, it starts playing. Use Back 10s and Forward 10s to move around.
  4. Read along under Transcript, or choose Download to keep the audio.

Steps: make a song

  1. Choose Create Song in the Galileo panel.
  2. Pick a style: Acoustic Pop, Rap / Hip-Hop, Lo-fi Chill, Pop Anthem, Cinematic, EDM / Dance or Indie Folk. Or describe your own under Write Your Style, for example “slow reggae with a saxophone solo”.
  3. Choose Generate Song. You’ll see “Generating your song… Lyrics + track, 1–3 min. You can leave this page.”
  4. Listen when “Song ready!” appears. Read the Lyrics, skip with Back 10s and Forward 10s, and choose Download to keep it.

Tips

  • Songs are great for lists and sequences you must memorise, such as the order of stages or a set of definitions.
  • Podcasts suit revision on the move; play one before re-reading your notes.
  • Reopen them any time from Generated or the session’s Artifacts.

If something goes wrong

  • “Podcast generation failed” or “Song generation failed. Please try again.” Choose the button again.
  • “Podcast not ready” or “Song not ready”. It’s still being made, or it failed. Wait a minute, or generate it again.
  • “Cannot generate song” or “No active session found.” Open the session from History and try again.
