Before you start
- Plan needed: your first source is free as a preview. More need the 7-day free trial or a subscription.
How to import a web page
- Copy the page address from your browser.
- On your dashboard, choose Link under Upload Your Own Material.
- Paste the address. You’ll see “Website detected. We’ll use the website import flow automatically.”
- Choose Add. Duetoday creates a note named after the site and opens it while it reads the page.
- Wait for the summary. A “Document Summary” job runs in the background and fills in your note.
- Study it. Use the Flashcards, Quiz and More tabs in the note to generate study tools, or ask the AI chat questions about it.
Steps to paste text
- Copy the text you want to study, such as notes from a document or an email from your lecturer.
- On your dashboard, choose Paste (“Copied Text”).
- Paste into the box that says “Paste your notes here”.
- Choose Add. Galileo opens with your text as its source and builds a summary, flashcards and a quiz.
Tips
- Paste your own lecture notes to get flashcards from them in seconds.
- Clean up first. Remove menus, adverts or unrelated text before pasting for tighter results.
- Chrome user? The Chrome extension can import the page you’re on with Import Page.
If something goes wrong
- “Import failed” or “No content extracted from website”. The page couldn’t be read, often because it needs a login or is mostly images. Copy the text and use Paste instead.
- “Enter a valid YouTube or website link.” Make sure the address is complete and starts with https://.
- “Pasted text is empty”. Nothing was in your clipboard. Copy the text again and retry.
