Before you start
- Plan needed: none to set the date. Studying for it with Duetoday needs the free preview, trial or a subscription.
Steps
- Answer the prompt. The first time you open the dashboard, the welcome screen asks When is the exam? if you’re studying for one, or later the When’s your next exam? window appears (“We’ll show you a countdown so you stay on track.”).
- Pick the date in the date box. Only future dates can be chosen.
- Choose Set my exam date. You’ll see “Exam date saved”.
- Check your dashboard. A banner at the top says “Exam in X days — keep studying”.
- Watch your inbox. We email you 7 days, 3 days and 1 day before the exam with a short plan.
Don’t have a date yet? Choose Skip for now. Duetoday won’t ask again on every visit.
Tips
- Work backwards from the date. Put study sessions in the study calendar for each topic.
- Use spaced reviews of your flashcards in the weeks before. See spaced repetition.
- A crash course a week before is a good way to review a whole unit. See crash course.
If something goes wrong
- “Failed to save exam date. Please try again.” Check your connection and try again.
- The countdown shows the wrong date. Contact support with the correct date.
- No reminder emails. Check spam and promotions folders, and add hello@duetoday.ai to your contacts.
