DueToday has two plans. DueToday Pro is $15 a month or $99 a year and is unlimited. DueToday Lite is $7.99 a month, billed monthly, with every feature and lighter limits: 8 uploads a month (files and links: PDF, Word, slides or text, audio, video, YouTube), 4 hours of recording a month and 50 AI tutor messages a day. What counts toward each limit

  • Uploads: each PDF, Word or text file, audio or video file, or YouTube link you add as a study source. Deleting an upload doesn’t give it back. An upload that fails to process doesn’t count.
  • Recording: the length of each lecture you record. When you start a recording, it can run for the time you have left this month.
  • Tutor messages: each message you send to Galileo, by typing or by voice. Suggestions DueToday shows you, like follow-up questions, don’t count.
  • Not counted: notes, flashcards, quizzes, mind maps, podcasts and other study items DueToday makes from your uploads.

Steps: choose Lite

  1. Open the trial screen. It appears when you upload your first file or link. You can also choose Upgrade in your profile menu.
  2. Choose Lite.
  3. Choose Get Started for Free →. Stripe’s checkout opens. Add your card. Nothing is charged during the free trial.
  4. When the trial ends, your Lite plan starts at $7.99 a month unless you cancel first.

Steps: upgrade from Lite to Pro

  1. Open Settings from your profile menu and choose Subscription. You can also choose Upgrade to Pro on any Lite limit message.
  2. Choose Upgrade to Pro.
  3. Review the confirmation in Stripe. It shows the prorated charge for the rest of your billing period before anything changes.
  4. Confirm. Pro starts straight away and your limits are gone.

When you reach a limit

DueToday tells you which allowance you’ve used and when it resets. On the web, the message also offers Upgrade to Pro. Everything you’ve already made stays available: you can still open your notes, flashcards, quizzes and transcripts.

  • “You’ve used your 8 uploads this month on Lite.” New uploads are available again on the 1st of the month.
  • “You’ve used your 4 hours of recording this month on Lite.” Recordings you’ve already saved stay in your account. New recordings are available again on the 1st of the month.
  • “You’ve used your 50 AI tutor messages for today on Lite.” Galileo is available again the next day.

Tips

  • Check your usage in Settings, under Subscription.
  • Combine material into one PDF (for example, a week of lecture slides) to make the most of your uploads.
  • Upgrade before exams if you expect to upload or chat a lot, then cancel Pro and choose Lite when your paid period ends.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between Lite and Pro?

Both include every feature. Lite is $7.99 a month with 8 uploads a month, 4 hours of recording a month and 50 AI tutor messages a day. Pro is $15 a month or $99 a year and has no limits.

What counts as an upload?

Each file or link you add as a study source: a PDF, Word or text file, an audio or video file, or a YouTube link. Lecture recordings count toward your recording time instead, and study items DueToday makes for you (notes, flashcards, quizzes, podcasts) don't count.

If I delete an upload, do I get it back?

No. An upload counts when you add it, so deleting it doesn't give it back. An upload that fails to process doesn't count, so you can try again.

When do my limits reset?

Uploads and recording reset on the 1st of each month (UTC). Tutor messages reset every day at midnight UTC.

Is the free trial limited on Lite?

No. The free trial has unlimited use whichever plan you pick. Lite's limits start when the trial ends and your Lite plan begins.

Can I buy Lite in the iPhone or Android app?

Not yet. Lite is bought on the web at duetoday.ai. The apps offer Pro for now. If you have Lite, you can sign in to the app with the same account and the same limits apply.

How do I move from Pro to Lite?

Cancel Pro in Settings, under Subscription, and choose Lite when your paid period ends. See how to cancel your subscription.
